More cities in north Texas are looking at how to use artificial intelligence to help with basic city functions.

Startups and businesses around North Texas are already using AI for certain things, now many cities want to join the club.

Artificial intelligence can help answer calls in a call center, make office work more efficient and potentially help executives make decisions.

Denton County recently invested over $140,000 to invest in AI technology which will assist the county’s six tax offices in managing an overload of work, which includes handling property taxes, renewing vehicle registrations and transferring vehicle titles.

Michelle French is the Denton County tax assessor says it will improve overall customer satisfaction.

Several businesses are working with cities to make the software better before purchase.
