Van Zandt County and parts of Henderson County are returning to normal this morning following a gas leak that forced many to evacuate overnight.
A natural gas leak near the town of Eustace in Northeast Texas had to be completely shut off, according to the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Department.
Eustace was evacuated Friday night and people were directed to nearby shelters. The Henderson County Senior Citizens building, The Caney Creek Baptist Church in Log Cabin and the First Methodist Church Mabank will remain open as shelters today, per NBCDFW.
The source of the gas leaks is undetermined.
