Parker County (1080 KRLD) - The backstory behind 7-month-old Miguel Ramirez who had been the subject of an amber alert this Thursday has taken another twist, with Parker County Police reporting that the child's father has now also been arrested.

According to police, 21-year-old Joey Lee Ramirez "had an outstanding warrant for a family assaultive offense involving bodily injury issued out of Ellis County."

"As law enforcement officers, we could not ignore a family violence warrant," said Sheriff Authier. "As much as we wanted the reunion to take place, we were satisfied to place the baby in the temporary custody of family members."

Ramirez was released on bail last Friday having posted his $2,500 bond.

This unexpected turn of events follows on from Miguel's mother, 20-year-old Faith Joann Reid, and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Marcus Allhoff Nast, having abducted the child on Thursday from the father's home. Police stated that Reid and Nast had believed Miguel was in immediate danger.

Warrants were issued by Ellis County Police for both Reid and Nast for felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Reid has been arrested and booked into Parker County Jail on a $300,00 bond, but Nast remains at large.

"If he is located, we urge the public not to approach him and contact their local law enforcement agency immediately," said Sheriff Authier. He is considered armed and dangerous."

Nast is white, 5-11, approximately 168 pounds, has brown hair and eyes. He has tattoos on his neck and face and when last seen was wearing a red shirt with blue jeans.

If you have any information pertaining to the whereabouts of Nast, tips can be submitted anonymously online at tip411 or by logging onto parkercountysheriff.net. Parker County Crime Stoppers can also be contacted at (817) 599-5555.

Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
