Three people found dead in a Carrollton house fire over the weekend did not die from the fire. Police now call it a double-murder-suicide.

Carrollton firefighters doused the fire at a home on Alto Avenue late Saturday afternoon. Inside they found three bodies -- a man and a woman in their 50s and a man in his late 70s.

The younger man had a gunshot wound to his head. The other bodies had what investigators call "obvious signs of trauma."

Investigators say the three people are members of the same family and they died before the fire spread.
