Police in Fort Worth are looking for a group of men who robbed a convenience store, and they may be responsible for other robberies elsewhere in the state.
In the early morning hours of March 22nd, three men stormed into the 365 Food and Fuel store along I-35W north of 28th St.
"The suspects forced the store employees to the floor and then used a hammer crowbar to break into the ATM that was located inside the store," said Fort Worth Officer Jimmy Pollozani. "It appears that it's a very well-orchestrated type robbery takeover, and then we're specifically targeting ATMs."
Thankfully, the incident didn't end up worse than it did.
"Thankfully, nobody was injured during this," Pollozani said.
It's possible that the men are responsible for similar robberies in the Houston area.
"We cannot confirm that these individuals are connected to incidents in Houston, but there have been similar cases like this in the Houston area," Pollozani said. "So that's where the detectives are going to be communicating amongst both agencies to determine if these individuals are responsible for those types of crimes out in Houston and the ones that occurred here in Fort Worth."
One of the robbers has a distinctive tattoo on the back of his left hand.
Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Worth Police at 817-392-4469.
