North Richland Hills police officers teamed up earlier this month to rescue a trapped dog.

Late in the evening on July 9, Roxie, a 95-pound rottweiler, got stuck underneath a shed behind a home on Payte Lane.

Roxie's owners said they believed she was chasing a possum earlier this month when she got stuck.

Ofcs. Kevin Saunders and Jeffrey Allday arrived on the scene and quickly realized the only way to free Roxie was to cut a hole into the floor of the shed.

After nearly 30 minutes of carefully sawing and prying the flooring away from Roxie, she was freed.

Other than being hot and a little worked up from being stuck underneath the shed, Roxie is doing just fine.
