Rangers loosen rules on outside food, water brought into Globe Life Field

Heading out to a Rangers game is getting a bit easier as the team loosens its rules about food and water brought into Globe Life Field.

Throughout the first third of the season, the team has kept a tight rein on food and the size of bags and purses brought through the gates.

Now things are changing. Larger bags and purses are now allowed.

16 x 16 x 8 size bags are allowed, conforming to MLB standards.

Also, outside food is allowed inside of Globe Life Field as long as it is inside a sealed clear plastic bag, one gallon or less.

And, fans can now bring their own water. But it has to be in a sealed plastic bottle, one liter or smaller. And, the water has to be plain. No flavored water is permitted.

Keep in mind, the rule is one bag of food and one water bottle per ticket.
