Wylie police say human remains found in February have been identified as a woman missing since last year.

Police say Faiza Fahad was last seen in May of 2021 when she voluntarily left her home.

In February partial human remains were discovered in a Sachse creek bed. Now the Dallas County Medical Examiner has determined it is Fahad. There has been no word yet on how she died.

Wylie Police, Sachse police, the ME's office, and the FBI are all working together to find her additional remains and determine how she died. At the time of her disappearance, investigators said Fahad was new to the area and didn't have any known friends or relatives outside her home.
