The death of a second victim has been confirmed following the Deep Ellum mass shooting over the weekend.

Police say Darryus Rice was gravely wounded when gunfire erupted near Main Street and North Malcolm X Boulevard on Saturday. He was taken to the hospital and was on life support. Although he died some hours later, his death was just confirmed yesterday.

Another man, Kenneth Walker, also died at the hospital. Four others, a teenage girl and three women, were wounded but their condition was not life-threatening.

Dallas police saw a man named Lathaniel Pearson shooting a pistol. He was arrested and has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest. Additional charges may be pending.
