RIVER OAKS (1080 KRLD) - Police in River Oaks are investigating the murder of a little girl.
"This is one of the worst calls that police officers and police employees deal with," says River Oaks Police Chief Chris Spieldenner.
The incident happened at the girl's home on Melba Ct. yesterday evening.
"We have a juvenile victim of an apparent homicide," says Chief Spieldenner, "and we have taken a juvenile suspect into custody."
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office identifies the victim as Isabella Courtney, 6.
It did not specify a cause of death.

The only detail known about the suspect is that he is a juvenile boy; his name and age are not released.
The exact nature of the crime is also unknown at this time.
Chief Spieldenner says the investigation is ongoing, and there is no threat to the public.
