Fort Worth (1080 KRLD) - It was a short-lived storm, but it did some significant damage in Fort Worth.

The fire department says there's major roof damage to a building in the Stockyards along North Main Street. Several large sections of a metal roof came off of a two-story building.

Firefighters investigated the possibility of people trapped, but there were no injuries.

The fire department was also working several calls for downed power lines.

And at one point there were more than two thousand outages in Tarrant County.

The Severe Thunderstorm came through North Fort Worth around 5:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.

There was also a strong storm in Southern Dallas county earlier Monday that led to some damage.

Strong winds brought down some trees in Lancaster and Desoto. Hundreds were without power in Dallas County as well.
