Two people were hurt in a crash Wednesday morning on Highway 75 in Plano. The fire department says a tanker truck was headed north near Parker when it was involved in a crash with another truck and two cars.
The Plano Fire Department says two people were hospitalized, but both should be okay.
The tanker truck caught fire, shutting down all northbound lanes around Parker. Delays grew on K Avenue, which runs north just to the east of 75; traffic could also use Jupiter Road to the east of 75 and Alma Drive to the west.
Southbound 75 was still open, but Plano Fire says northbound lanes are likely to stay closed most of the day.

"We've got to wait for it to stop burning, then we'll have to spot-fire check," says Captain Michael Carr. "After that, they'll have to get a wrecker out here to tow the truck off and then the police department still has to do their investigation because they can't get close enough yet."
Carr says the department has to let the fire burn itself out. If they sprayed water, fuel could enter nearby grass and the sewer system.
"Then you have to call out the EPA to dig up the dirt that's contaminated. You'd have to get people in the sewer system to monitor where the gas goes," he says. "This is the cleanest and easiest way to mitigate the problem."
Wednesday morning, the back-up headed north on 75 stretched more than three miles south of President George Bush Turnpike.
