With all of the rain over the past couple of weeks, Tarrant County has now lifted its burn ban.

Even with the Burn Ban lifted, Fire Marshal Randy Renois points out there are still outdoor burning restrictions. For example, no burning at night. Also there is to be no outdoor burning if wind speeds (either constant or gusts) are greater than 23 mph.

Renois also stresses that "the authority to conduct outdoor burning under this regulation does not exempt or excuse any person responsible from the consequences, damages or injuries resulting from the burning."

Burn bans remain in effect for several other North Texas counties including Dallas, Colllin, Rockwall and Ellis.

State-wide, 110 of Texas' 254 counties are keeping their burn bans in place. At the height of this summer's hot-and-dry spell, it was 235 counties with bans.
