Hours passed, and the only results that came in overnight were the early vote totals. Those early votes showed former Farmers Branch Mayor Tim O'Hare leading former Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price by about 23 percentage points on the Republican side, and Deborah Peoples winning over Marvin Sutton on the Democratic side.

At Betsy Price's watch party, outgoing Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley said a computer malfunction is to blame for the tabulation delay.

After Whitley announced last summer he would not seek a fifth term, seven candidates have come forward hoping to lead the Tarrant County Commissioners Court.

Three other Republicans complete the field, but any runoff would likely be between Price and O'Hare, according to NBCDFW.com.
