Dallas fire investigators will be back out at the scene of an apartment fire today, looking for the cause of a three-alarm blaze that broke out Saturday evening.

The first fire crews arrived at Murdeaux Villas in southeast Dallas and found only light smoke coming from one building. However, closer inspection showed that the fire was burning inside the walls, calling for a more complicated strategy.

A second  and then a third alarm were called to bring in more manpower, eventually resulting in more than five dozen firefighters on-scene.

There was a partial roof collapse, making the building un-inhabitable.

Although the building has 24 units, only ten of them were occupied.

The Red Cross came in to help about 30 or 40 renters who live in those apartments.
