Three young men from North Texas were killed as they were headed home for Christmas from college.
Dylan Young, 21; Tyran Williams, 19; and Broderick Moore, 19, all attended Southern University in Louisiana and were members of the school's Human Jukebox Marching Band.
Young and Moore were from Cedar Hill, and Williams was from Irving.
Tuesday evening, they were going along I-49 in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, in a 1999 Jeep Laredo when they ran into trouble.
"They had some issues with their tire or something of that nature to put them on the shoulder of the roadway," sayd La. State Police Master Trooper Casey Wallace. "All three of the occupants were at the front left portion of the vehicle, helping each other do that tire change (when) a commercial vehicle for whatever reasons didn't get over into that other lane and made contact with the vehicle and the three occupants outside of the vehicle."
Young, Williams and Moore were all pronounced dead at the scene.
Moore and Williams were freshmen majoring in music, and Young was a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering.
