The judge met with attorneys from both sides today and they say they are ready, so the murder trial of Aaron Dean is set for Janurary.
Dean is the former Fort Worth police officer charged with killing Atatiana Jefferson in 2019.
According to reports, Dean was responding to a call about an open door at Jefferson's home when he shot her through a window while responding to that call.
Jury selection in the case will start January 4th with testimony expected January 10th.
The judge will hear motions December 6th, he expects a change of venue request.
Pressure has been mounting for prosecutors to bring the case to trial.
Dean's trial, and many others, have been delayed because of the pandemic.
