DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Prosecutors plan to rest their case in the second capital murder trial of accused serial killer Billy Chemirmir on Thursday.

Details of Chemirmir's capture were discussed in the third day of trial. Testimony revealed in court that digital evidence lead investigators right to Chemirmir in 2018.

Within an hour of the attempted murder of Mary Bartel, one of Chemirmir's final victims, her ring was posted on an online resale site called Offer-Up.

Speaking through a translator, jewelry broker Salah Carter revealed that he bought the ring from Billy Chemirmir.

Police were able to recover images of victim Mary Brooks' ring off the same phone.

The jury also heard testimony about a fourth victim, Martha Williams. Williams' daughter testified that she and her sister found a pillow her apartment with a facial imprint and blood on it.

Chemirmir's attorney entered a not guilty plea on Monday.
