Two new cases of California COVID-19 variant identified in Dallas County

We are not out of the woods yet when it comes to the coronavirus pandemic, but in Dallas County at least there are clear signs we are on the way.

Dallas County reported 228 new coronavirus cases yesterday, including 2 cases of the new, more-contagious variant that first appeared in California.

DCHHS officials also reported 19 more deaths.

In Tarrant County, 268 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed along with 4 deaths.

In Collin County, 183 new cases have been reported, and 2 deaths.

Denton County reported 129 new cases but no deaths.

And the hospitialization rate in the DFW area is currently at 4.6 percent.
