Two people are in custody this morning after a wild chase that started Thursday afternoon in Rockwall and ended at a child-care center in Dallas.

It started when Rockwall police tried to pull over a driver in a stolen car, he then took off on a long chase through Dallas county, then abandoned the car he was in and grabbed the baby in a car seat and got into an SUV.

The SUV later pulled into to the "Head Start" daycare on Goldman Avenue in West Dallas and one of the suspects, with the baby in hand, ran inside.

The center was immediately put on lockdown but police were able to arrest the suspect and the SUV driver short time later.

Parents who came to get their kids at the center say they were terrified at what was going on.

Police say both men remain in custody and will face a variety of charges.
