The solstice marks the first day of Winter and is the day with the shortest period of daylight: 9-hours-59-minutes-and-30-seconds in North Texas.
Tomorrow will be two seconds longer and the daylight period will grow longer each day until the Summer Solstice arrives on June 21st.
