Was the SCOTUS abortion documents leak "court-shaming?"

As the U.S. Supreme Court investigates the leaked Roe v. Wade draft opinion obtained by Politico, various theories are being tossed around.

Reports say the marshal of the high court will look first at clerks working for the nine justices.  One popular theory is that the extremely rare leak came from a subordinate of one of the more liberal justices, in an attempt to pressure conservative justices to reconsider their opinion on the case that could overturn the 1973 decision that legalized abortion nationwide.

Univ. of Houston Prof. Brandon Rottinghaus said it is possible this was a case of "court-shaming," although he added members of the Supreme Court are very reluctant to change their minds on a ruling and that the justices are usually insulated from public opinion.

If Roe v. Wade is overturned, Rottinghaus talked about the chances of federal legislation being passed to restore abortion rights, and about the impact of the abortion issue on the Texas governor's race as he spoke with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
