
There's so much talk about inflation around the country, but Texans have it better than the rest of the country right now when it comes to the grocery store.
A new study from 24/7 Wall Street looked at the places that have the cheapest groceries in the US. The average person in this country will be spending a little over $3,400 over the course of the year.
Texas has the five cheapest areas in the country, and 10 out of the top 25. The area with the lowest cost for groceries is Brownsville and Harlingen. The average cost is $2,428 a year.
McAllen-Edinburg-Mission is second at $2,480. Victoria, Waco, and Killeen-Temple round out the five cheapest areas in the country Laredo is eighth. Bryan College Station 15th.
