The triple-digit numbers have been unrelenting. As they continue, they're impacting nearly every part of our lives, including Friday Night Football. However, Arlington ISD Athletic Director Eric White says it is not just the football players that's impacted.

"Definitely in communication with them and making sure we're aligning against everything we can and helping each other out to keep all the kids safe regardless of what they're participating in," said White.

He says this is also true in band practice.

"When they're [in] marching practices they're having to either go, just like our teams, so we're not going out there in the heat of the day... early in the morning [or] late in the evenings," said White.

The heat is also impacting college students on UTA's campus. One student said it's getting hotter and hotter every year and another senior said the heat is making his walk to class unbearable.

"It's been terrible for me because I get to class all sweaty and I just feel gross," said the UTA senior.

He said he tries to stay in the shade to help and sees other students with umbrellas and fans as they trek across campus.
