We hit 106° yesterday at DFW, tying the hottest temperature so far this year. Unfortunately, it's just going to get hotter and hotter at least through Wednesday.

Excessive heat warnings are in effect for all of North Texas today and at least through tomorrow but will most likely be extended into Wednesday as well.

We're starting off this morning and the '80s and we may Tire break the 110° record set back in 1980 today. I'm forecasting a high near that. Rinse and repeat for tomorrow and Wednesday with afternoon highs 108° to 111°. The hottest temperature ever recorded at DFW is 113° set back in 1980.

By Thursday, a weak front will try to edge through the area giving us a very slight chance for an afternoon and evening storm. Due to the cloud cover, we may not get above 102°. A little bit better but still hot.

102° will be a popular number for Friday and Saturday. By Sunday, we're back near 104°.
