Keep your umbrella handy as scattered showers and storms remain in the forecast through the rest of the week, the holiday weekend, and into next week as well.

As of now, it looks like the best chance for widespread shower and thunderstorm activity will be tomorrow into the first part of Friday. The rest of the time, showers and storms will be more scattered, but locally heavy rainfall is possible due to the high moisture content in the atmosphere. If you're wondering what it's like to live in Florida in late August.. we're getting a taste of it and will continue to do so for the next 7 days.

Weather radar is quiet this morning but scattered afternoon evening showers and storms are in the forecast today with highs near 90°. The best chance of rain again will be tomorrow into Friday. The National Weather Service is monitoring the possibility for a Flood Watch across North Texas for Thursday and Friday. Stay tuned. Afternoon highs tomorrow and Friday will be in the mid to Upper 80s.
