The wind relaxes today, beautiful weather with highs in the 70s to near 80 degrees, a chance for showers and storms arrive late Thursday into early Friday, some could be severe, much cooler Friday and Saturday, and then a slow warm up Sunday into early next week.
We're waking up to temperatures in the fifties this morning with a west wind gusting to 25mph. Windchills are in the forties across much of the area. You'll definitely need a jacket through the noon hour. Plenty of sunshine will greet you today with highs in the low seventies with a relaxing wind by evening.
Everybody drops into the forties under a clear sky tonight with light wind. Tomorrow looks nice and warm with highs near 80ﾟ with a light SW wind.
Our above average temperature trend will continue into Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the mid to upper seventies. We might even hit 80ﾟ again by Thursday.
Unfortunately, heat is not a good thing this time of the year, this just fuels the fire when this interacts with cold fronts. This being said, our next significant weather change will arrive late Thursday into early Friday, as a powerful storm system blows through the area. There is a chance for some strong to severe storms late Thursday into early Friday. Stay tuned on the timing and strength of our next system.
Rapid clearing will take place on Friday with a ton of wind blowing from the north at 20-30mph, gusts to 40mph are possible. Temperatures will tumble into the low to mid fifties for highs.Wind chills will be in the 40s. Jackets will definitely be necessary.
The weekend is looking spectacular! It'll still be cool on Saturday with highs in the low to mid sixties, warming into the 70s by Sunday... with breezy southerly winds.
