As of 5 AM, DFW airport has measured 1.59" of rain. We now have a surplus for the 1st time this year... and we have much more rain to come through the day today.

Please allow extra time getting to your final destinations through the day today, as waves of thunderstorms with heavy rain continue to move across north Texas. An additional 1" to 2" of rain, on top of the 1" the 2" we've already measured, is in our forecast today. Afternoon highs will stay in the mid to upper forties all day long.

The rain will come to an end from west to east late this afternoon into the evening hours, with slow clearing overnight tonight. Morning lows will drop into the low to mid 30s by daybreak, with clearing skies.
