PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man is dead after a shootout inside a Kensington convenience store early Saturday morning.

Police said it happened at the Quick Stop store at the corner of Kensington Avenue and East Orleans Street. Shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday, three armed men started shooting at each other, which sent the other customers fleeing to safety outside.

Officials said one of the gunmen, a 30-year-old, was struck multiple times in the hip and leg. He collapsed outside the store.

That man was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:28 a.m.

Philadelphia Police Insp. D.F. Pace told our partners at NBC 10 the hunt is on for the other two gunmen.

"There is crystal clear high resolution video of the entire shooting scene and the entire incident," he said. "Our homicide investigators are going to be combing through that surveillance footage."

Police said one person who kicked the gun away from the body of the suspect was arrested. That individual faces charges of tampering with evidence.
