COLMAR, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — More than two dozen fire companies responded on Tuesday to battle a fire that broke out at a Montgomery County auto parts warehouse.
Firefighters from about 30 suburban companies responded to the Dorman Products warehouse near East Walnut Street and County Line Road in Colmar.
The four-alarm fire led to a mayday call, which was eventually canceled. All firefighters have been accounted for, and there are no other reports of injuries.
Dorman manufactures auto parts and products, including door locks, coolant lines and fuel systems. Crews have been working to determine whether anything hazardous burned in the blaze.
Traffic kept moving outside of the warehouse, but drivers had no choice but to wait in thick, stagnant smoke as they sat at the red light. No flames were visible from outside the building.
