PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police believe a man shot a mother and her adult son in their Chester County home, then caused two car crashes before shooting himself in the head.

On Wednesday morning, police responded to Ashmun Avenue in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, where two people had been shot.

According to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, a 22-year-old man and his girlfriend arrived at the home and found his mother, 53-year-old Kimberly Harris, and his twin brother, 22-year-old Jordan Foster, dead. Police found 380-style shell casings in the home.

A day earlier, witnesses told police that a driver involved in a car crash on Route 1 and Webb Barn Lane in Kennett Township — close to Longwood Gardens — had shot himself in the head at the scene. Police recovered a 380 semi-automatic handgun from the car.

The man was identified as 41-year-old Timothy Harris.

Investigators later learned that Timothy Harris had been involved in a hit-and-run just prior, on Route 1 and Bayard Road in East Marlborough, less than a mile from the second car crash.

Police believe Timothy Harris killed Kimberly Harris and Foster.

The investigation is ongoing.
