PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni has tested positive for COVID-19, one day after working the sidelines during his team's win over the Washington Football Team at Lincoln Financial Field.
The team said Wednesday that Sirianni began feeling symptoms before being tested.
He is now in the team's COVID-19 protocol.
Sirianni said passing game coordinator Kevin Patullo will take over head coaching duties onsite. Sirianni will work remotely until he can return.
The team says they hope Sirianni will be able to return Sunday for their game against the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles-Washington game was delayed to Tuesday night because nearly two dozen Washington players were in the team's COVID-19 protocol.
