PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — For the second time in as many weeks, a series of online threats disrupted classes for students in the Coatesville Area School District.

Now, the FBI is helping local police investigate who is responsible.

Caln Township police said students were evacuated from Coatesville high and intermediate schools on Monday after two separate threats were made.

Someone submitted a tip through the Safe2Say violence prevention messaging system saying an accelerant was placed somewhere in a school building. Then, another message said there was a weapon in the building.

No weapons were found, but classes are canceled for Tuesday.

Nearly 40 police departments responded to help in the aftermath of the evacuation, as fights broke out between students.

Similar messages were sent last week, and the high school’s homecoming football game on Oct. 7 was also canceled because of a threat.
