PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine is back in the mix in Philadelphia and Bucks County starting Tuesday, April 27.
The CDC lifted its recommended pause on Friday after a review of six rare cases of blood clotting in women who had recently gotten the single-dose J&J shot.
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health says it agrees with the CDC that the risk of blood clotting is very small, and the vaccine still provides excellent protection against COVID-19.
The J&J doses will now come with a blood clotting warning and information about symptoms people should be mindful of.
