Man killed in Kensington hit-and-run, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are looking for a driver they say is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Kensington early Saturday morning.

Police say it happened around 12:15 a.m. at Kensington and Lehigh avenues. A 50-year-old man was crossing Lehigh Avenue when a black Dodge Charger struck him.

The Charger then fled the scene. Authorities say it has front end damage.

The unidentified victim was taken to Temple University Hospital, but was pronounced dead just before 1 a.m.
