PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — You won’t have to worry about holiday shipping backlogs at this seasonal market.

Philadelphia’s beloved Christmas Village returns this month to City Hall and LOVE Park, featuring light shows, German-style noshes, and endless holiday shopping at the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market.

Christmas Village officially opens Thanksgiving Day, with special previews on Nov. 21 and 22. The market debuts on Nov. 20.

The open-air attraction has a few new offerings this year. The City Hall courtyard will be transformed into a German-style food court. Many fan favorites, like bratwurst, schnitzel and Swiss raclette cheese, will be available there and around the rest of the village.

The food court will surround the newly added double-decker carousel, which is sure to be a hit among kids.

Also new this year are exclusive wine and spirits tasting events, partnered with Boardroom Spirits distillery and Chaddsford Winery.

The monthlong hoopla features other attractions: a Ferris wheel, beer flight pairings and Christmas Village-branded beer cans, a themed German American Weekend on Dec. 11 and 12, renovations to the popular beer garden, and much more.

More details will be released as we get closer to the opening dates.
