PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia man was arrested this week and charged with assault, civil disorder, and other charges in connection with the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
In charging documents, an FBI agent said two tipsters identified Michael Dickinson, 30, after spotting him in the video of the insurrection.

The agent said Dickinson was seen throwing a coffee thermos that struck a Capitol police officer in the face. He also allegedly threw a bucket of liquid at officers.
The charging documents also include pictures of Dickinson pressing a cloth to his bleeding face. The agent said a rubber bullet struck him during the melee.

The agent said Dickinson’s distinctive sweatshirt helped the FBI track him down. The sweatshirt has a large green shamrock with the words, “Gray’s Ferry,” “Devil’s Pocket,” and “Schuylkill” printed on it.

Dickinson is the second Philadelphia resident to be charged in connection with the insurrection.
