PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are investigating a daytime assault of a 23-year-old college student near Broad and Spruce streets.

The assault happened on Nov. 20, but authorities just released details to KYW Newsradio this weekend, after bystander video surfaced on the Instagram account "Watch Out Philly."

They say a young woman attacked another woman, unprovoked, around 12:45 p.m. Video of the attack shows a woman, with black hair, wearing pink sweatpants, violently dragging another woman into the street by her hair.

The victim, who prefers to remain anonymous, says she has been shaken by the incident since it happened.

SEPTA Transit Police Department released a statement Saturday, stating the same suspect hit a victim multiple times in the head and slammed their head
against the train wall while on the train on Nov. 20 around 12:10 a.m.

An investigation is ongoing with Central Detectives, but an arrest has yet to be made.
