Video: Police seek 3 suspects who fired 61 times at man on Southwest Philly block

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three people who fired 61 gunshots on a residential Southwest Philadelphia block three weeks ago.

It happened shortly after 7 a.m. on March 18 along the 2500 block of Shields Street, off of Elmwood Avenue, which is near Connell Park and Bartram High School.

Doorbell camera video shows three men running down the block and firing at a fourth man. The three suspects then fled in a newer-model Toyota Prius.

Although 61 shots were fired, no one was injured. Several cars were damaged.

Police are asking anyone who sees the men call 911 immediately. Anyone with information is asked to contact Southwest Detectives at 215-686-3183 or leave an anonymous tip online.
