PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Two of four men shot in an incident Sunday morning have died, and a 12-year-old boy is in stable condition after his little brother shot him in the chest Sunday morning.

Police in the 22nd district in North Philadelphia say the two men, ages 22 and 24, were shot multiple times at a location on North 19th Street near West Berks Street around 11:44 a.m. Police say the 22-year-old was pronounced dead shortly before 1 p.m., and the 24-year old was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m.

From the same shooting incident, a 20-year-old, who was shot in the neck, is in critical condition, and a 32-year-old, who was shot in the leg, is in stable condition.

Three guns were recovered at the scene, according to police, but no one was arrested.

Also in the 22nd district, just a half-hour earlier, police responded to a home on North Hollywood Street near West Huntington Street for a shooting — where they discovered a 12-year-old had been shot.

The boy, who they found in a bedroom in the home, had been shot in the chest. He is in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.

Police recovered a gun from the scene. They say the boy’s 10-year-old brother shot him.

"A 12-year-old child has just been shot by a 10-year-old sibling with a gun that was left unattended by an adult. Thankfully, the child is currently in stable condition,” Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said.

“Tragedies such as these have an impact on everyone, from the immediate family to the community, and everyone in between: siblings, parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, doctors, police officers and neighbors. Our thoughts are with the survivors."

There is no word yet on whether anyone has been charged or arrested in the incident.
