PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Married restaurant owners Heather Annechiarico and Chris Fetfatzes used to own The Cambridge at 1508 South St. It closed because of the pandemic, but it recently reemerged as something new.
“We thought it was a great idea to change it up a little bit,” Annechiarico said.
In its place, they opened Sonnys Cocktail Joint, a cocktail bar with an extensive food menu and cocktails on tap.

“We want to give people a fun cocktail bar that’s reimagined, that changes the pretense of what a cocktail bar is,” Fetfatzes said.
Part of reimagining the cocktail bar is making sure they have good food.
“We have a tartare grilled cheese,” said Annechiarico. “We have an inventive hotdog, some really great dips and snacks for people to share.”
“I like the prosciutto and olives,” added Fetfatzes. “[They] are marinated for a few days and it comes in a slightly toasted baguette.”
As for their cocktails, Fetfatzes said they double filter their water. “It’s one-third of the cocktail, so it has to be super pure, it has to be super clean, and has to be super well-balanced.”
And of course, being a cocktail bar, there’s an extensive drink menu.
“We have 14 draft beer lines and then we have 10 draft cocktails,” Fetfatzes explained. “We have a Nitro line. So imagine going to, say, Starbucks and you get like a frothy, creamy beverage. You’ll be able to do that here.”
