State trooper injured in hit-and-run on I-95 in Delaware County, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for the driver who injured a Pennsylvania state trooper during a hit-and-run in Delaware County.

Pennsylvania State Police said just before 4 p.m. Sunday, a trooper was investigating a two-car crash on the shoulder of I-95 in Chester. While waiting in his car for a tow truck, another vehicle struck the trooper’s driver’s side door.

The striking vehicle fled the scene southbound.

The trooper was taken to the hospital for minor injuries and has since been released.

Another person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
