Video shows gunman shoot, kill driver in parked car

2 men wanted for Hunting Park homicide

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police released surveillance videos of two men they believe shot and killed a driver in Hunting Park earlier this month.

Around 4:20 a.m. on March 2, officers found a 55-year-old man parked in his car on West Hunting Park Avenue. He had gunshot wounds to his neck and arm and died shortly thereafter.

Newly released footage shows two men approaching the victim — the sole car parked in the lot. One of them fires several shots into the car, killing him. The gunman tries to open the car door but flees instead, along with the other man.

Other surveillance videos capture the two suspects walking around North Philadelphia shortly after the shooting.

Anyone with information about the suspects can call or text a tip to 215-686-8477, submit a tip online anonymously, or contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or 215-686-3335.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
