PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Philadelphia are looking for a teen wanted for killing a man during an attempted carjacking earlier this month.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 15-year-old Rasheed Banks Jr. Banks is accused of shooting and killing 50-year-old Michael Salerno on July 12 while trying to steal his car in the Lower Moyamensing section of South Philadelphia.

Philadelphia police released photos and video of the boy and two other unidentified suspects Friday afternoon. In the video, three suspects jump out of their red Kia Soul with weapons and approach Salerno's Pontiac sedan. Salerno's friend was in the car at the time. Police say the suspects forced her out of the car and demanded the keys.

Salerno then showed up to stop them. After shooting at Salerno, they all get back into the Kia and back down the street, leaving the scene. Police say to call 911 if Banks is sighted, and to consider him armed and dangerous.
