After reaching billionaire status just last year, 34-year-old Swift has now surpassed Rihanna who previously held the top spot with $1.4 billion.
According to Forbes, Tay’s reported net worth is $1.6 billion. Contributing to that are the millions she’s raked in with her current Eras Tour, which enters its final leg next week. She’s also brought in a large part of her worth through previous releases, and re-recording them to regain ownership. Additionally, she holds about $125 million in real estate holdings.
Swift reportedly made history becoming the first musician to reach billionaire status with the biggest contributor being her music and live shows. While some might believe her totals will fall after her Eras Tour wraps in December, most know better than to underestimate Swift. Many fans are anticipating she keeps the momentum going with another album (or two).
Following close behind Swift is Rihanna, who holds steady at $1.4 billion. Other female artists making the list include Beyoncé, Madonna, Celine Dion, and Dolly Parton.
