The latest article on preferred Thanksgiving side dishes says that the most favorite side dish in South Carolina and Georgia is collard greens. Furthermore, the preferred side dish in North Carolina is biscuits. While they're all lovely choices, I would never call them preferred.
My family's recipe for Macaroni and Cheese Pie is not only legen...(wait for it)...dary it is also the most requested side dish at gathering and events.
Not to brag, but I have an ex-boyfriend's mom that said she would uninvite her son to a family event, after we broke up, if it meant I would come and bring my macaroni and cheese pie.
