(SportsRadio 610) - Former 49ers defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway is reuniting with his defensive coordinator in San Francisco and joining the Houston Texans.
According to multiple reports Monday morning, Ridgeway is expected to sign a one-year deal worth $4 million with Houston. The contract includes $3 million fully guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, who was first to report the news.
Ridgeway had 28 tackles, three for loss, one sack and four quarterback hits in 12 games played and seven starts for the 49ers last season. He spent the previous three seasons with the Eagles and three seasons before that with the Colts.
Ridgeway joins wide receiver Robert Woods, fullback/tight end Andrew Beck and veteran quarterback Case Keenum as some of the Texans' key free agent acquisitions so far during the legal tampering period before official free agency.
