(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans will be without two of their cornerbacks in Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears.
Phillip Gaines, who had been starting opposite Vernon Hargreaves with Bradley Roby suspended for six games, did not travel with the team to Chicago with a knee and shoulder injuries. Rookie cornerback John Reid, who's seen limited action, was also held from the trip with a neck injury.
That leaves the Texans with Hargreaves, Keion Crossen and Cornell Armstrong. They also use safety Eric Murray as a nickel corner at times, and Lonnie Johnson Jr. could play corner as well.
The Texans elevated cornerback Anthony Chesley and safety Jonathan Owens from the practice squad Saturday, adding some depth to the secondary.
