Well, one more lap around the sun for me! Cue up some Stevie Wonder, please! Personally, I believe birthdays are a great time of reflection, (even more than during the new year.) I just celebrated mine with my family at Walt Disney World- what a blast! We are now back- a little more connected after such fun times together and a little more broke! Ha. Mickey has a way of making parents say, “Yes!” to everything!

A few birthday reflections for this year…
Time with our kids is priceless… as they say, “slow down, you’re growing up too fast!” I hope we made some “core memories” with our daughters on this trip.
There are friends who never forget your birthday. Keep those friends close.
With each birthday, I’m reminded how important it is to keep your body moving, flexible, hydrated and healthy!

One last thing… Out of the blue, I got a super thoughtful text from an old radio friend the other day… It was a reminder to trust my instincts on people. He’s a good egg. (So if someone is on your mind, reach out! It means a lot on the receiving end and puts a dash of good energy into the world.)
Ok I fibbed… that wasn’t the last thing, there’s one more thing on my mind…How do you raise smart kids in a smartphone world? When did you let your kid get a phone? My older daughter is almost 10 and starting to go places with her friends and their parents (IE the Atlanta United game.) I think she could use a phone, but I know the addiction and dangers are real. Like really, really freaking scary, real. I’m curious what you did and how you made the decision… I have been following this account for guidance.
