The Furman Paladins have punched their ticket to the big dance after a double digit win in the SoCon Title Game, Monday night in Asheville. Furman led nearly wire to wire, as the Paladins played with the lead for over 90% of the game.

Furman avenged being swept by East Tennessee State by downing them 76-61. The Paladins were paced by big man Cooper Bowser who had 21 points and 11 boards. Freshman Guard Alex Wilkins added 12 following his incredible 34 point performance against Greensboro on Sunday. Senoir Reserve Tom House had a baker's dozen as three Paladin players were in double figures.

The Paladins played tremendous defense in each of their games in the SoCon Tourney, but Monday night they turned it up a notch. Furman held ETSU to just 3 of 16 shooting from deep.

The win gives Furman it's 2nd SoCon Tournament Title in Coach Bob Richey in the last four years. The Paladin program has won more than 20 games in four of the last five seasons.

Furman will now wait until Sunday's Selection Show for the announcement of their NCAA tournament opponent. Paladin postseason basketball lives on The Fan Upstate.
